THE BHARAT BATTERY
Founded in 1933 by Late Sanchindra Prosad Saha, Bharat Battery pioneered India’s indigenous motor-car battery plates and lead-oxide manufacturing. With a history spanning Railways, Defense, and Telecom, our legacy is deeply woven into India’s industrial growth.
In 2024, Bharat Battery was acquired by Dynamic Security & Services Ltd under the leadership of Mr. Jugal Kishore Bhagat. This acquisition marked a new growth chapter with investments in advanced technologies like VRLA (maintenance-free batteries) and Lithium-ion solutions.

Bharat Power Batteries are of rechargeable lead acid type with positive plates of Tubular construction. The positive plates consist of hydraulically moulded Selenium, Antimonial lead spines covered by pluri tublar bags of inert synthetic fibre yarn, filled with pure lead sub-oxide powder and sealed at the bottom by moulded plastics sealer. This construction prevents shedding off of active materials during use assuring years of service under most exacting conditions.
The separators are Micro porous P.E. Leaf highly resistant to battery acid preventing physical contact between POS. & NEG. plates but allowing free flow of electrical current and each cell provided with one Micro porous Ceramic vent-cum-filling plug. Containers and covers are moulded in PPCP material conforming to IS:1146-1988.
These lead acid storage batteries are specially made for indian conditions used as a source of energy for lighting & other normal domestic purposes.
